"I have seen war. I have seen war on land and sea. I have seen blood running from the wounded. I have seen the dead in the mud. I have seen cities destroyed.I have seen children starving. I have seen the agony of mothers and wives. I hate war." - Franklin D. Roosevelt "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." - George W. Bush"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin

This past weekend I played kickball and we got hosed again. Then David and I had drinks at Old Chicago to try and get the bad taste of the game out of our mouths. Saturday I got to sleep in a bit then went and played racquetball with Vans. We ate at Cielito Lindo after where I had a margarita and one too many tamales. That night theryn, Natalie, and I headed up to Topeka to have dinner for Theryn's mom's birthday. It was her birthday but she bought us dinner - I like that arrangement. Especially when it's to somewhere like The Brick Oven. I had the KC Strip and it was amazing. It was a little overdone but still delicious. Then we came home and god, I don't remember. I think I watched the first two episodes of True Blood and played WoW. Oh, and it had cooled off when we got home so I mowed the lawn for the first time in two weeks 'cause I didn't know when the next time I would be able to do it in less than 100 degree heat would be. Sunday we got up and skipped the grocery store because Natalie took her nap early and I went to Jefferson's for wings. After that we headed to the park with Amanda, Mike, and Bella. Mike and I played a little catch while the girls played on the playground equipment at the bubble park. We went grocery shopping after that and then headed down to Amanda and Mike's so Natalie could play with Bella in her new pool. I guess I went down first so Theryn could have some time to do some yoga. Once she got down there, Rodney (who had just recently come to town for the evening), Mike, and I went and played (badly) some basketball. Came back and the girls had grilled up some burgers and hot dogs. It was a great day, great weekend. Monday was mundane as usual, but today I shadowed and advisor at new student orientation and got some good experience and had a great time. I'll be doing it again next Tuesday. After work I went and tried to figure out why my mom's webtv isn't working and I think we figured out it was because it's ancient. I'm going to try to convince her to get a laptop, but she'll probably just upgrade to msntv 2. The end.
